Man Robs Drugs From Belfast Pharmacy
Police are hunting a suspect after a quantity of drugs were robbed from a pharmacy in west Belfast.
Staff at a business in Dunmurry's Mount Eagles Square were threatened shortly before 9am on Wednesday 16 October. The man entered claiming he was there to collect a prescription before demanding staff hand over the drugs.
A quantity of tramadol and diazepam and a sum of money were taken by the suspect who fled the scene on foot.
He is described as around 5'8" tall, believed to be in his mid-thirties and with short dark hair, slightly unshaven and of a stocky build. It's understood he was wearing a dark coloured rain jacket and grey-coloured jogging bottoms.
Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: "We are thankful no staff were physically injured during this despicable incident, but there is no doubt this will have left them shaken. This must have been a terrifying ordeal for them."
Anyone who was in the area around the time and noticed a man matching the description is urged to call detectives on 101 quoting reference number 282 of 16/10/19.
