Man Escapes Injury In West Belfast Arson

A man has escaped injury after a wheelie bin was set alight and placed at the door of his house in west Belfast.

Police said the arson attack took place in Aitnamona Crescent at around 7.20am on Friday 01 November.

Fire crews attended and extinguished the blaze which had caused damage to the front door and smoke damage to the inside of the house.

The male occupant was uninjured.

Police are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 486 of 01/11/19. Details can be provided anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
