Church Fire Suspected Arson

A fire at a temporary building used by an evangelical church group in Newtownards, County Down is a suspected arson attack.

The blaze caused damage estimated at £15,000 to the portable building which was to be used for a children's playgroup this week.

Elsewhere in another attack on a church during a service in Ballygomartin, Presbyterian churchgoers were alarmed when youths kicked the front door and threw stones at the building.

Church leaders have appealed for parents in the area to take charge of their children.
