Pair Arrested Over Co Armagh Incident
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of a range of driving offences following an incident in Co Armagh.
Officers on patrol in Newtownhamilton became aware of a black Audi speeding in the Keady Road area at around 2am on Saturday morning, 09 November.
Within the hour, the vehicle was observed travelling on the Armagh Road, where it failed to stop for police before colliding with the patrol vehicle and making off.
The vehicle was brought to a halt and a 22 year-old man arrested following a short pursuit. A second man, aged 24, was also arrested around 30 minutes later.
Both were detained on suspicion of a number of traffic offences, including dangerous driving, driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop for police.
Chief Inspector Barney O'Connor said: "Our police vehicle suffered slight damage to its side, and thankfully, our two officers who wee in the car were not injured.
"I want to appeal to anyone who witnessed what occurred this morning, or has any information which they believe may assist our investigation to call us on 101 an quote reference number 174 of 09/11/19.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to continue to appeal to anyone with any concerns about any type of suspicious activity, anti-social behaviour or any community concern to pick up the phone and call us and we will investigate accordingly."

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.
