Pair Charged Over North Belfast Aggravated Burglary
Two men are due in court over an aggravated burglary in north Belfast.
The pair, aged 30 and 33, were charged following the incident in Alexandra Park Avenue on Tuesday night, 19 November.
The incident saw a number of men smash their way into the property while armed with weapons including a suspected firearm and a hammer.
Two teenagers and a man in his fifties who were in the house at the time were unharmed but left shaken by the frightening ordeal.
The 33 year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent to steal, assault on police, criminal damage, possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, three counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and resisting police.
The 30 year-old was also charged with aggravated burglary with intent to steal, two counts of assault on police, carrying a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, criminal damage, two counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and resisting police.
Both are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, Thursday 21 November.
As is normal procedure, all charges are to be reviewed by the PPS.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.
