Man Stabbed In Belfast City Centre

A man is in serious condition after he was stabbed in broad daylight in Belfast.

The incident occurred at around 11am on Friday morning, 21 February, at the rear of the Waterfront Hall.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is understood to be serious.

Police are working to establish a motive and have appealed to anyone who may have been in the area of the blue metal footbridge at the rear of the Waterfront Hall this morning.

Detective Sergeant Kyle Corrigan said: "Did you see anything suspicious? Did you see the incident, or any one running away from the scene?

"I would encourage anyone with information to report it to police on 101 quoting reference 499 of 21/02/20."

Man, 21, Dies Following Road Collision
A 21-year-old man has died in hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Down. Paudraig Sweeney from Portaferry was involved in the collision which took place on the Rowreagh Road, between Portaferry and Kircubbin on Wednesday morning. Police investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area between 6.45 - 7.

Suspicious fire in east Belfast
Detectives in east Belfast have appealed for information following a suspicious fire in the early hours of this morning. The incident was reported to Emergency Services at around 3am this morning, however is believed to have started at around 2.30am at a business premises in the Woodstock Road area of the city.

PSNI Appeal After Assault At Lagan Valley Hospital
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information over an incident at Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn in February. Police believed the attack involved up to five people on the morning of Tuesday, 27 February. Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the hospital's A&E department and observed anything on the morning in question.
