Priest condemns church attack
An attack on a Catholic Church in Co Tyrone has been condemned by its Parish Priest.
Father Michael Doherty described the incident in which a number of windows were smashed at St Mary's Church in Strabane as "disgraceful".
Police are trying to establish a motive for the incident which occurred on Wednesday night.
Elsewhere, a bomb which was found at a Cathloic Church in Ballygowan on Wednesday has been declared a hoax.
The device, which was discovered at the church on the Carrickmannon Road shortly before 10am on Wednesday, led to people being sent home from a St Patrick's Day Mass.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.

Arson Attack On 5G Mast In West Belfast
Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Belfast Priest Returns To Duty
A west Belfast priest who was at the centre of a police investigation has returned to the ministry. Father Hugh Kennedy stepped down from his duties as administrator of St Peter's Cathedral in 2011. At the time, the Diocese said it referred information about Fr Kennedy to the PSNI in accordance with its child safeguarding procedures.
