Two men arrested following attempted child kidnap
Two men have been arrested following the attempted kidnap of a 12-year-old girl in Co Tyrone last night.
The incident occurred during the attempted robbery of the girl's home in Dungannon at about 9.30pm on Thursday.
The assailants, who were armed, broke into the house at Cullenramer Road and demanded money.
Two young boys and another relative were also in the house at the time. The men threatened to take the girl as a hostage, however within minutes the police arrived and chased down the men.
One of the men was arrested immediately while a second man was arrested a short time later.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Police have launched an investigation after employees at a takeaway restaurant in Belfast were threatened with a hammer. The incident happened at premises on the Shankill Road shortly after 11pm on Tuesday, 07 March. A number of masked men armed with a hammer threatened staff and demanded them to open the till.
