Arrest Over Co Tyrone Hijacking
A 24 year-old man is in custody following a vehicle hijacking in Coalisland, Co Tyrone.
Police said a driver was flagged down by an unknown male in the Vale area of the town at around 6.30am on Sunday 01 March.
The suspect initially requested a lift before threatening the motorist, claiming to be carrying a knife.
The driver was ordered out of the vehicle and the culprit made off from the scene.
Detective Sergeant Robinson said: "The driver was left uninjured but shaken by the incident.
"The vehicle was located a short time later and a 24 year old man was arrested on suspicion of hijacking. He remains in custody today."

Man Jailed In Connection With Annahilt Cannabis Farm
The PSNI has welcomed the sentencing of a man at Craigavon Crown Court in connection with a cannabis farm disovered in Annahilt in February, 2023. Clive Weir, from the Annahilt area, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months on licence.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon.
