Police Treat Co Down Gun Attack As Attempted Murder
Police are treating a gun attack in Comber, Co Down as attempted murder.
A man in his 50s suffered injuries that are not believed to be life threatening when the incident occurred shortly after 10.20pm on Sunday night, 15 March.
It's reported the victim had driven into a yard in the Ballycreely Road area of the town when a masked man armed with a suspected handgun emerged from a hedge.
The armed man fired several shots, causing injuries to the victims shoulders and his right thigh that required hospital treatment.
The man's condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Damage was also caused to the vehicle during the incident.
Police say the assailant is described as being 5'8" in height and of medium build.
Detective Sergeant Westbury said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. We are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact detectives in Newtownards on 101, quoting reference number 1635 15/03/20."

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry. A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police. One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.

A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
