Police Hunt Pair Over L'Derry Fraud

Police in L'Derry are hunting two men over attempted frauds at businesses in the area.

An investigation has been launched following two attempted distraction scams.

One of the suspects distracts a staff member while another uses the card reader to refund large sums of money into their account.

A PSNI spokesperson issued a warning: "Please PLEASE keep your card readers out of sight of the public. Don't leave them unattended and make sure your CCTV systems are operational.

"Take all steps to protect yourself.

"On another note. I sincerely hope those who are currently affected by the COVID-19 are holding up ok and I am genuinely pleased by how well local communities are banding together to help the most vulnerable amongst them."
