Three People Rescued After Arson Attack In Coleraine

Three people have been rescued following an arson attack at flats in Coleraine.

Bins were placed at the front doors of properties in the Drumard Drive area shortly after 4am on Tuesday morning.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Jane Moyne said: Police officers attended and extinguished the fire, three people who were in the property at the time were safely evacuated by NIFRS and treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

 “Enquiries are continuing to establishment the circumstances surrounding these incidents and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, should contact detectives on 101 and quote reference number 144 of 11/05/21."

Four injured in separate road incidents
Three people have been injured, one seriously, following a road traffic accident in Co Tyrone. One car was involved in the incident which occurred in the Lurganboy Road area of Castlederg in the early hours of Sunday morning. Elsewhere, a woman has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Londonderry at the weekend.

Three People Dead In House Fire In Co Fermanagh
At least three people have died in a house fire in Co Fermanagh. Emergency services were called to the blaze in the Molly Road area of Derrylin on Tuesday morning, 27 February. The fire has been extinguished and investigations are ongoing. The public have been advised to avoid the area.

Two Homes Burgled In Co Antrim
Police are investigating a possible link between two burglaries in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. The incidents occurred at properties in the Glenville Manor area and in Abbeyhill Way between noon and 10.50pm on Saturday. A sum of cash was taken from both properties and a quantity of jewellery was also stolen.

Tanker Carrying Animal Blood Involved In Crash In Co Armagh
A major incident has been reported in Co Armagh after a tanker, believed to be carrying animal blood, left the road and crashed into an embankment, bringing down power lines earlier today, 30 May.
