Two men remanded in custody over burglary charges
Two men have appeared in court today charged with aggravated burglary.
The men, Patrick Joseph Quinn, aged 17, from Whitecliff Parade, and Sean Paul Reid, 19, from Divismore Crescent, both Belfast, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court in connection with an incident at Norfolk Drive in the west of the city on Monday.
At around 12.30am an elderly couple woke to the sound of broken glass, and heard their home being ransacked.
They locked themselves in a room for safety and then called the police. They were left badly shaken by the experience.
Both men have been remanded in custody until April 27.

Second Lithuanian denies murder charges
A second Lithuanian man has appeared in Banbridge Magistrates Court charged with two counts of murder. The court heard that when charged, 21-year-old Vitalijus Sedovas, said that there had been mistake and he was not guilty. Mr Sedovas was remanded in custody to appear at Newry Magistrate's Court on October 23.

Two men deny extortion charges
Two men who appeared in court this morning have denied charges of demanding money with menaces. The two, 37-year-old Thomas Spence of Posnett Court in Belfast and 42-year-old William Alexander Robinson from Killaney Avenue in Lisburn, are also accused of attempting to extort £10,000 from a Chinese businessman in south Belfast.

Raids result in two men remanded in custody on robbery charges
Two of the 12 men arrested in a major anti-crime swoop in Belfast have appeared in court on charges of armed robbery. Appearing at Belfast Magistrates court on Wednesday January 9 were Mr Harry Porter, a 30-year-old window cleaner, from St George’s Gardens, and Mr Darren Clarke (20), from Henderson Avenue, both in Belfast.

Two men have appeared today in court charged with the attempted murder of a boy under the age of 14 in County Antrim. Both men who are in their 30s with addresses in Londonderry have been remanded in custody.
