Man Fatally Stabbed In Bangor

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in Bangor, County Down.

According to reports, police responded to an incident on Beatrice Street in the town shortly after midnight, Wednesday 14 July. Upon arrival at the scene a 53-year-old man was found with stab wounds. The man was attended by emergency services but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Police are working to establish what occurred at the incident and have appealed to anyone with any information, or anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area in the early hours of this morning to contact them. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Dies In Co L'Derry House Fire
A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Police Appeal Following Armed Robbery Of Shop In Newry
An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a shop in Newry on Wednesday, 28 February. At around 9.30pm, a man entered the shop on Canal Street and threatened staff with a knife. The suspect demanded money and is said to have fled the scene with a unknown sum of cash.
