Murder Investigation Launches Following West Belfast Stabbing
A murder investigation has been launched following a stabbing incident in west Belfast.
Police were called to reports of an incident in the Filbert Drive area at around 11.50pm on Tuesday 01 March.
Attending the scene, police and NI Ambulance Service discovered a man with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services the man died at the scene.
A woman was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
Police said their enquiries are at any early stage and issued an appeal for information.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that will assist the investigation to contact police on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Fatally Stabbed In Bangor
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in Bangor, County Down. According to reports, police responded to an incident on Beatrice Street in the town shortly after midnight, Wednesday 14 July. Upon arrival at the scene a 53-year-old man was found with stab wounds.

An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a shop in Newry on Wednesday, 28 February. At around 9.30pm, a man entered the shop on Canal Street and threatened staff with a knife. The suspect demanded money and is said to have fled the scene with a unknown sum of cash.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
