NIFRS To Relaunch Cadet Scheme

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) have announced plans to relaunch their Cadet Scheme in September 2021.

Announcing the relaunch, NIFRS said: "Now is your opportunity to develop life skills whilst building friendships and having fun.

"During term time Cadets attend a Fire Station one night each week, working alongside NIFRS Volunteers in a fun but structured programme.

"Applicants must be entering Year 11 this September and be under 15 years old by 01 July 2021.

"Priority will be given in the first instance to applicants who live or go to school in the geographical location of Bangor (Ards & North Down), Belfast, Lisburn or Newry.

"Application forms can be found on our Youth Engagement page. Completed application forms, with a subject line indicating which Branch you are applying to, must be emailed to cadets@nifrs.org by 12 noon on Friday 06 August.

"If you require any support completing or submitting the application form contact the NIFRS Prevention Deptartment on 028 92664221."
