Murder Investigation Launches Following Death Of Man In Lisburn
The PSNI have launched a murder investigation into the death of a man following an incident at a house in Lisburn.
Eugene McCormack (53) was assaulted during an incident at a house on Donard Drive on Tuesday 01 February. He died in hospital on Tuesday 08 February as a result of the assault.
Launching a murder investigation, Detective Inspector Gina Quinn said: "Eugene was assaulted during the incident, which occurred at around 3.30pm last Tuesday afternoon, and was taken to hospital where tragically he passed away earlier today. A 30-year-old man is currently on remand in prison in connection with the matter.
"Our enquiries are continuing at this time and I would appeal to anyone with any information or footage that could be of use to our investigation, to contact detectives at Ladas Drive on 101 quoting reference 1171 01/02/22. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org/."

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Man Arrested In Connection With 1992 Police Officer Murder
A 59-year-old man has been arrested at Birmingham Airport in connection with a fatal mortar attack in Newry in 1992. The man was arrested on Wednesday, 21 February by detectives from PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch, investigating the murder of Constable Colleen McMurray and the attempted murder of her colleague in 1992.

Extra Time To Question Man Over Murders
Detectives from the Legacy Investigation Branch have been granted additional time to question a 65-year-old man in connection with two murders and other serious crimes. It is understood the incidents took place in Belfast in the late 80s and early 90s.
