PSNI Appeal For Information On North Belfast Hijacking
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of a vehicle hijacking in north Belfast last night, Sunday 20th March.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "Shortly after 9:05pm, it was reported that a grey Vauxhall Astra was parked at the Mountcollyer Avenue area with three males inside the vehicle. An unknown male then approached the car armed with an unknown object and ordered the males to get out of the vehicle. The males then got out of the car and one of the males was assaulted during the incident. Three males then got into the car and drove off. The car was found crashed into a parked car at the Glencollyer Road area a short time later.
"Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to this incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 2465 20/03/22. A report can be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
The PSNI is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that will assist the investigation to contact us on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Car hijacked in Belfast city centre
Police are appealing for information following a hijacking incident close to Belfast city centre yesterday evening. Two males, both thought to be aged 18, approached the female driver of a silver Renault Megane car at the lights of the York Road and Frederick Street junction at around 9:00pm. One of the males indicated he was looking for a light.

Superintendent Johnston McDowell said: "It was reported at around 10:45pm that shots were fired through the front door of a property in The Meadows area of Newtownards.

Car park attendant robbed in Belfast
Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following a robbery at a car park in the York Street area. At around 6pm on Wednesday evening four males approached the car parking attendant and demanded money. One of the assailants pulled the man through the window of the site hut and held him until he handed over a sum of cash.
