Car hijacked in Belfast city centre
Police are appealing for information following a hijacking incident close to Belfast city centre yesterday evening.
Two males, both thought to be aged 18, approached the female driver of a silver Renault Megane car at the lights of the York Road and Frederick Street junction at around 9:00pm.
One of the males indicated he was looking for a light. It is understood the woman shook her head to indicate no, whilst trying to lock her doors.
However, one of the men pointed a small black handgun and ordered her out of the car. They then drove off in the vehicle.
Police are asking for any information on the incident to contact them.

PSNI Appeal For Information On North Belfast Hijacking
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of a vehicle hijacking in north Belfast last night, Sunday 20th March. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "Shortly after 9:05pm, it was reported that a grey Vauxhall Astra was parked at the Mountcollyer Avenue area with three males inside the vehicle.
