Brian McIlhagga Murder: Man Arrested In Ballymoney

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Ballymoney this morning by detectives investigating the murder of Brian McIlhagga.

Mr McIlhagga (42) was killed by a masked gang outside a house at Riverview Park in Ballymoney, County Antrim, in January 2015.

The father of five, originally from Ballymena, had been beaten and shot in the leg and died from his injuries.

At the time police described the attack as "brutal, sustained and vicious".

Police have said that their investigation is continuing and renewed an appeal for information.

Three men arrested in connection with the murder of Brian McIlhagga have been released unconditionally. Mr McIlhagga, 42, was shot and beaten by a gang after he was dragged from a house in the Riverview Park area in Ballymoney in January 2015.

Two Men Arrested Over Brian McIlhagga Murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Brain McIlhagga. Mr McIlhagga, 42, was shot and beaten by masked men who dragged him from a house in the Riverview Park area of Ballymoney on 05 January 2015. Two men, aged 45 and 41, were detained after police carried out searches and seized a number of items on Tuesday, 18 July.
