Two Men Arrested After Attempted Theft In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested following an attempted theft in L’Derry on Sunday, 02 October.
A knife was also ecovered.
Police received a report of an attempted theft involving two men at a shop in the area at around 1.45pm.
At 4.50pm, two men matching the description of the suspects were seen in the area.
One of the men, aged 24-years-old, was detained and arrested. The second suspect, aged 27-years-old, ran off. Officers pursued the suspect and he was subsequently arrested a short time later.
The 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a Class C controlled drug while the 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly behaviour, possessing an article with point or blade in a public place, theft, fraud by false representation and handling stolen goods.
Both men have been detained in custody.

Two Men Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder Released
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of George Gilmore have been released unconditionally. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The two suspects were detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 29 March.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being hit on the head with a hatchet in the Glenrosa Link area at around 1.15am on Sunday, 25 June. The two suspects, both aged 26, have been detained at Musgrave Police Station.
