Appeal For Information On Newtownabbey Hijacking
Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a car hijacking in Newtownabbey on the morning of Sunday 18th December.
A woman was driving in the Ballycraigy Way area around 7.30am when two men wearing balaclavas came out of an alleyway and stood in front of her vehicle. They then started banging on the car asking for her mobile and keys. The back window of the car was then broken and items were stolen from the vehicle.
Inspector Barrie Jordan said: "Our investigation is underway and we would ask anyone who witnessed the hijacking or noticed any unusual activity, or has any CCTV or dash-cam footage, in the Ballycraigy Way area to contact us on 101 quoting reference 559 of 18/12/22."

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a car hijacking in Co Antrim on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Kingsway Complex in Dunmurry at around 10pm. The man was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by another man who demanded his keys.

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following a hijacking in the Quarterland Road area of Dundrod yesterday evening, Tuesday 3 January. Shortly after 8pm the driver of a silver BMW pulled over to assist a woman who was stopped on the roadside with hazard lights flashing.

Appeal Issued Following Car Hijacking
Police have issued an appeal for information following the hijacking of car in Belfast. At around 8.45pm on Thursday (6 February), approximately 15 hooded youths pulled a man from his car – a white Ford Focus – and stole it. The incident happened in the Ross Street area of the city.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following serious assault and suspected acid attack in east Belfast. According to police, the victim, a man aged in his 20s, was driving in the Sunwich Street area at approximately 6.30pm on Saturday, 05 August, when he became aware that he was being followed by another vehicle.

Issuing the appeal, Detective Sergeant Connolly said: "We received a report just before 10:55pm on Monday 12 July that the female driver of a white Peugeot had her car hijacked as she drove along Victoria Road.
