Two Properties Searched By Paramilitary Crime Task Force
The PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force have carried out searches of two properties in the west Belfast and Millisle areas today, Wednesday 15th February.
The searches were part of an ongoing investigation into suspected criminality linked to the west Belfast UDA.
A number of items have been seized for forensic examination from the property in west Belfast, including a mobile phone.
Detective Sergeant Gourley said: "This morning's searches reflect our ongoing commitment to safeguarding local people.
"We will continue to work with our partners in the Paramilitary Crime Task Force to disrupt the activities of those who make their living from crime.
"The searches and seizures are a demonstration of the PCTF's commitment to tackle all types of criminality linked to paramilitaries, in an ongoing effort to rid our communities of the harm these groups cause and of their coercive control.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and we would like to thank the local community for their continued support and will continue to act on the information you provide us.
"I would encourage anyone with information regarding criminal activity to contact us on 101."

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
