Robbers target fast food outlet
Detectives in Castlereagh are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a fast food outlet on the Saintfield Road in the early hours of this morning.
At around 12.45am two masked men, one armed with a kitchen knife, the other with a hatchet, entered the premises at Commons Brae.
One of the men jumped over the counter and demanded money from the till before rifling through staff and customers’ belongings. They escaped with a sum of cash and some bank cards.
The two robbers, who are thought to be aged in their late teens, were both of slim build, one around 5’5” in height, the other 5’10”.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information is asked to contact detectives in Castlereagh on 02890 650222 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.

Valuable items have been stolen during a burglary of a residential premises in Castlereagh on Tuesday 08 January. Police have appealed for information after the break-in on the Ballynahinch Road, sometime between 7.30am and 12.05pm.
