Appeal For Information On Suspected Arson Attack
The PSNI in Newtownards have issued an appeal for information following a suspected arson attack at a workshop in the town.
Eleven vehicles were extensively damaged in a fire at the workshop on the Glenburn Road area, which was reported to emergency service at around 21:45 on Wednesday 01 March.
Police have said that provisional investigation suggests the fire was started deliberately.
Anyone with any information on the fire, or who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact police.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a suspicious fire at a garage in Coalisland at the weekend. One lorry was set on fire and a second damaged during the incident which occurred in the Ballynakilly Road area of the town shortly before 2am on Sunday.

Appeal For Information On Kilkeel Arson Attacks
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the report of two arson incidents in the Kilkeel area. It was reported to police that at around 2.25am on Monday 06 May, that a Volkswagen Passat parked in the Munro Villas area had the windows smashed and an accelerant poured inside. The vehicle was set alight and extensively damaged.
