Three Men Arrested Over Serious Assault In Ballynahinch
Three men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in the Ballynahinch area late on Wednesday, 14 June.
Shortly before 11.45pm, police received a report of a disturbance at a house in the Riverview Heights area of Ballynahinch.
It was reported three masked men, who were armed with suspected baseball bats and metal bars, had assaulted two men in the area. The men both sustained head injuries as a result of the attack, one of whom also suffered a suspected broken arm.
They were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not life-threatening.
A short time later police detected a vehicle in the Newtownards area that was believed to be connected to the assault.
Inspector Campbell said: "Three men, aged 26, 32 and 46, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including, grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
"They remain in police custody at this time, assisting officers with enquiries.
"Our investigation is underway and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or other video footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 2542 of 14/06/23."

The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. Four Released After Woman Injured In Co Tyrone
Four people have been released on bail pending further enquiries after a woman was injured in a house in Co Tyrone. Three men, aged 24, 25 and 34, and a woman, aged 29, were arrested following an incident in the Mourne Crescent area on Monday, 14 November. The injured woman is being treated in hospital.

Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

A 21-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in the communal area of a property in Barra Street on Saturday 06 October. PSNI detectives arrested two men aged 20 and one aged 22 following the incident.
