Man Dies After Cliff Fall In Portrush

A man has died after falling from a cliff in Portrush.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the Ramore Head area just after 7pm on Monday night, 03 July.

The man'’s death is not being treated as suspicious, according to the PSNI.

In a statement posted on social media Coleraine Coastguard said: "Coleraine and Ballycastle Coastguard Rope Rescue Teams were tasked this evening to reports of a person fallen from the cliffs at Ramore Head, Portrush.

"A casualty was recovered but sadly declared deceased at the scene."

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) said the recent winter storms have dramatically changed the profile of beaches at Whiterocks, Portrush East and Portstewart creating high sand cliffs which are unstable.

Three Arrested In Connection With £250,000 Drug Seizure
