NIE Networks Condemns Video Of Pro-IRA Chanting In Front Of A Bonfire

An investigation has been launched after a video emerged showing a man, who was wearing Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) Networks branded clothing, chanting pro-IRA in front of a bonfire.

In the video one man said 'up the Ra' while laughing and saying "shush".

In a statement on Twitter NIE Networks said: "The video circulating on social media is deeply offensive, and NIE Networks condemns the content without reservation.

"A full investigation into this matter is underway."

A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Power Cut Affects Belfast Businesses
