Suspected Arson Attack On Ballymoney Church

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a suspected deliberate arson attack on a church in Ballymoney on the evening of Sunday, 19 November.

Shortly after 9.45pm, emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a church in the Castle Street area. It is understood that a side door of the church had been set alight.

Sergeant Moody said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who may be able to assist with our investigation to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1540 19/11/23.

"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who was in the Castle Street area of the town and near the church on Sunday evening between 9.30pm and 9.45pm, and noticed anything suspicious, to get in touch."

Police Investigating Reports Of Shots Fired In L'Derry
Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information following a suspected shooting incident. Shots were reportedly fired in the Sevenoaks area of the city at about 9:40pm. There are no reports of any injuries. Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have witnesses anything suspicious in the area, is asked to contact police.

Co Down Road Reopens Following Fire
A County Down road has reopened following a fire on Friday, 14 July. The Church Street area in Downpatrick was closed and diversions were put in place. The fire was discovered by officers on mobile patrol who were in attendance at a flat and they raised the alarm and residents were able to exit their properties.
