Men Jailed For Range of Terrorism-Related Offences
Two men has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court after pleading guilty to a number of terrorism-related offences.
47-year-old Carl Reilly and 48-year-old Paul Crawford had previously been found guilty of membership of a proscribed organisation, namely Óglaigh na hÉireann.
Reilly was sentenced to 30 months and Crawford was sentenced to 18 months
Detective Superintendent Griffin, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland, said: "Today’s outcome is the result of an investigation into dissident republican activity which was initiated by An Garda Síochána in 2015. Evidence of operational activities and the organisational structure of Óglaigh na hÉireann was obtained and shared in the course of this investigation.
"Our Terrorist Investigation Unit remains committed to investigating terrorist activity. Our aim is to keep individuals and communities safe from harm, and to disrupt the activities of those intent on bringing violence to our doorsteps.
"This is a good example of working in partnership with our colleagues in An Garda Síochána, and I’m keen to thank them for their support.
"We also rely about the support of local people and communities, and I would encourage anyone with information, or indeed concerns, to contact us on 101."

Pharmacist Sentenced For Drug Offences
A 27-year-old pharmacist from Belfast has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service for unlawfully possessing and stealing controlled prescription drugs. Adam Hanna pleaded guilty to charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and the Theft Act 1969. The offences took place at a North Belfast pharmacy between January and March 2024.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Disappearance Of Damien Heagney
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Three More Questioned Over Quinn Murder
Three men are being questioned by the PSNI about the brutal gang-murder of Co Armagh man Paul Quinn after three others were arrested by gardaí earlier. The three men arrested by the PSNI are from the Crossmaglen and Cullyhanna areas and while two are aged in their 50s, one is in his 20s.
