Graduate recruitment fair set for Waterfront Hall
Northern Ireland’s only graduate recruitment fair gets under way at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall this week.
Up to 2,000 graduate jobseekers and around 60 organisations are expected to pack the Waterfront on Friday in search of the "career of their dreams".
Commenting on the event, Grainne McGregor of the University of Ulster’s careers service said: “You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so if you plan to come to the Waterfront, dress as you would for a job interview. Many of the companies and organisations that will be present will be prepared to interview likely prospects there and then - so a professional standard of personal presentation could make a lot of difference.”
“Graduate job hunters should take a look at the event programme - available online at www.ulster.ac.uk/careers04, target the firms and organisations they want to see - and make sure they do a little homework about the firms they want to meet.”
Exhibitors at the Job Fair include firms in engineering, construction, accountancy, food retailing, law and more.
Careers advisers from both the University of Ulster and Queen’s will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on the applications process to students attending on the day.
Organised jointly by the University of Ulster and Queen’s, the Northern Ireland Graduate Job Fair takes place on Friday between 10am-4pm.
