Appeal For Witnesses To L'Derry Arson Attack

L'Derry PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses to a fire at a former school site in Drumahoe on Sunday, 3rd March.

Police were called to the scene on Drumahoe Road shortly after 9pm. When officers arrived, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service were in attendance tackling the blaze, which they subsequently extinguished shortly before midnight.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Fortunately, there have been no reports of any injuries. However, there has been significant damage to the building as a result of the blaze.

"The fire is being treated as arson and we're appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, or has any information, to contact us."

Appeal For Information On Suspected Arson In L'Derry
The PSNI in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information in an arson investigation following a fire at a house in the Grafton Street area in the early hours of Sunday 13 November. Police have said that they believe the fire was started deliberately after an accelerant was poured through the letterbox of the property shortly after midnight.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To North Belfast Fire
The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following an arson attack on a property in north Belfast on Wednesday 05 September. Shortly before 9.45am it was reported that an unoccupied flat on Woodland Avenue was on fire. It is believed that entry had been gained to the property before the fire started in the kitchen area.

Appeal Issued Following Fire In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information following a fire in the Waterside area of L'Derry. The blaze at a site in Dunfield Terrace was reported at around 8.10pm. Inspector Swanson said: "This was a significant blaze. Thankfully, there have been no reports of anyone being injured.

An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Appeal After Shots Fired At Car, L'Derry
Detectives at Strand Road in L'Derry have launched an appeal for information or witnesses after shots were fired at a parked car in the Friel Close area of the city. The attack took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, 31 May.
