Appeal For Information On 'Nasty Attack' In LDerry
The PSNI have renewed an appeal for witnesses and information on the assault of a woman in L'Derry on Saturday, 03 September.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was walking on London Street, near to the junction of Artillery Street and towards The Fountain, when a man is reported to have pushed her to the ground. The victim was able to push the man away and flee the area leaving her leather jacket, which contained her mobile phone and a personal document.
Making the appeal, Inspector Craig said: "We have conducted extensive enquiries in relation to this nasty attack, which left the victim badly shaken. You can only imagine the trauma she has suffered as a result of this and we hope she is recovering from what has been a horrific ordeal.
"We know there were people in the area at the time this occurred, so our appeal is to anyone who can help us identify the suspect and establish what occurred is to get in touch with us. Your information could be significant."

The 32-year-old man was walking along Westland Street when two men confronted him around 2.30 on Thursday June 13. One pushed him and the other grabbed him from behind and put a knife against his throat.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in the Heron Way area of L'Derry shortly before 2.40am this morning, Thursday 11 January. Shortly before 2:40am, it was reported to police that a man in his 20s was located at a property in the area with stab wounds to his body and facial lacerations.
