Appeal For Witnesses Following Stabbing In Portadown
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Portadown on Wednesday, 01 May.
At 3.25pm yesterday, police received a report that a man with a knife had been seen in the Portmore Street area.
Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, were a man aged in his 30s was found bleeding heavily from a wound to his shoulder.
A short time later, in the nearby Deramore Drive area, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a blade or point in a public place. He remains in police custody.
"The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
Local policing Inspector Browne said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have dashcam or other footage which could help our investigation, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1073 of 01/05/24.
"A report can also be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org."

Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Police Appeal Following Fatal Crash In Fermanagh
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Co Fermanagh. A 42-year-old man died in the crash which happened on the Belfast Road in Brookeborough at around 8.35am on Friday, 08 June. The man was the driver of one of the vehicles involved. Police are appealing to anyone who may have dash can footage to contact them.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing man Declan Mawhinney has been found safe and well, according to the police. Mr Mawhinney, 46, went missing from Letterkenny on Saturday at approximately 11.40pm. A missing person appeal was launched by the police and his family. He was located in Letterkenny on Tuesday. Police thank the public for their assistance.
