Appeal Following Shooting Incident In Bangor
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was shot in the leg in Bangor, Co Down.
In the early hours of this morning, Saturday, 03 August, officers received a report that a man had attended hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. It is believed that the man had been walking in the Ganaway Walk area, a short time earlier when he was attacked.
Detective Sergeant Lorraine Dougherty said: "This has left the victim with significant injuries to his leg.
"Our enquiries are at an early stage and we would appeal for anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact us.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and who may have CCTV, dash-cam or mobile footage which could be of assistance. Our detectives can be contacted on 101, quoting reference number 57 of 03/08/24."
Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Detectives have appealed for information following the report of a stabbing incident at College Square East in Belfast City Centre. On Wednesday 12 June, the PSNI stated that there is reason to believe an altercation involving three men occurred in the area shortly before 4.30pm, which resulted in one of the men sustaining a stab wound to his neck.

Appeal For Information On 'Nasty' Robbery In Omagh
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a "nasty" robbery in Omagh. Police received a report, that at around 1.30am on Monday, 19th February a man aged in his in his 40s was cycling in the Cranny Road area of the town, alongside the river, when he was set upon by a group of six people, dressed in dark clothing with hoods up.
