Man Assaulted In Belfast City Centre
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an assault in Belfast City Centre on the evening of Saturday 7th September.
Shortly before 9pm police received a report that a man had been injured following an assault involving a number of people on Ormeau Avenue.
Officers attended and a 38-year-old man and two women aged 39 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
All three remain in custody at this time.
Detective Sergeant Ash said: "Enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or to anyone with CCTV, dash cam or other footage that could assist enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1798 07/09/2024."

Detectives are investigating an assault that occurred in Belfast City Centre on Saturday, 7th December. Shortly after 4pm, police received a report that a man had been assaulted by an unknown individual in the High Street/Church Lane area. The victim sustained injuries to his face and body and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man following a reported stabbing incident in South Belfast on Saturday, March 1st. At approximately 7:35 pm, a man in his 50s was reportedly assaulted by another male at the corner of Agincourt Avenue and Ormeau Road. The victim was stabbed once in the shoulder and taken to hospital for treatment.
