Police appeal after teenager is stabbed at bonfire
Detectives have appealed for information over the stabbing of a 19-year-old west Belfast man at a bonfire at Blackmountain Park during the early hours of yesterday morning.
The victim, who suffered "life-threatening" injuries as a result of the attack, is believed to have been stabbed in the upper body following an altercation with another man at the bonfire. The incident occurred between 2.30 and 3am.
He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, while a 33-year-old man was arrested and is being question by police.
Police at Grosvenor Road have urged anyone who attended the bonfire at Blackmountain Park and witnessed the altercation, the stabbing or a man being attacked to contact them on 9065 0222.
Members of the public can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man Stabbed In West Belfast
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Hawthorn Street area at around 1.40pm on Thursday. The victim is believed to be in his 30s. A section of Hawthorn Street was closed and police examined the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
