Car thieves make off with prescription drugs and syringes

A car containing medical equipment and prescription drugs has been stolen in Armagh.

Sometime between 4pm and 5pm yesterday a silver coloured Mercedes E300 was taken from outside a house in the Tynan area. Among other items in the car were quantities of morphine, diamorphine and pethadine. A number of syringes and other medical equipment were also stolen.

Police are warning the public, particularly parents, to be aware in case the thieves discard any of the prescribed drugs.
