Police Appeal For Information Following Newry Crime Spree
Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following a series of six linked thefts, burglaries, and attempted burglaries that occurred over the weekend.
The first incident involved a burglary in the Old Road area of Drumintee, where cash was stolen from an outbuilding. Police believe this crime took place between 4:30pm on Friday, November 8th, and 8:50am on Saturday, November 9th.
Subsequently, reports were received of tools being stolen from two vans in the Ballynamona Road area of Newry. These thefts are believed to have occurred between 10pm on Friday and 8pm on Saturday. Additionally, police are investigating another report of tools stolen from a garage in the Carrickbroad Road area, which is believed to have happened between 8pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday.
Detective Sergeant Lewis said: "At this stage, we are treating these reports as linked and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in these areas or who may have information that could help with our enquiries, to get in touch with police on 101, quoting reference number 921 of 09/11/24."

Appeal For Information After Man Seen With A Firearm
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following reports of a man seen brandishing a suspected firearm in the Falls Road area on the morning of Saturday 18th May. At approximately 8.15am, it was reported that a man had been seen with what was believed to have been a handgun in the vicinity of the Cullingtree Road.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following two reports of vehicle thefts in Mid Ulster. Sometime between 10pm on Saturday 17th December and shortly after 7:35am on Sunday 18th December, it was reported that entry was gained to a black BMW X5 vehicle that was parked at a property in the Millbrook area of Coalisland.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Murder inquiry launched after Markets body find
A murder inquiry has been launched after the body of a man was discovered in a flat in the Markets area of Belfast. Neighbours found the body in an upstairs flat in Friendly Place at 7.45am on Monday. Police believe the 38-year-old man had been beaten. Two men have been arrested by detectives and are helping them with their inquiries.
