Man Charged After Assault On Ambulance Worker
A 30-year-old man has been charged with assault on a police designated person, assaulting an ambulance worker, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and attempting theft of a vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, 7th April. As is standard procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. The charges relate to a report of an assault on a male Northern Ireland Ambulance Service staff member and the attempted theft of an ambulance. These incidents occurred in the Lisburn Road area of Belfast shortly after 10:45 pm on Sunday, 09 March. It was also reported that the man assaulted a police member of staff while in custody on the same day.

Man Charged Over North Belfast Assault
A man has been charged over an assault in north Belfast on New Year's Day. The 29-year-old has been charged over causing grievous bodily harm with intent and having an offensive weapon. The 24-year-old victim was found with slash marks on his face in the Glencairn Way area. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man charged over east Belfast assault
A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault on two men in County Antrim yesterday evening. The pair, who are aged in their 60s, were walking along the Sandown Road area of east Belfast just after midnight, when they were approached by a man. The attacker then proceeded to attack the men, beating them with a plastic pipe.

Northern Ireland Ambulance Service is recruiting for new helicopter paramedics to be based at the Air Ambulance base at Maze Long Kesh in Lisburn and Emergency Ambulance Control at NIAS HQ in Belfast. Successful candidates will join the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) team which is made up of 15 doctors and seven paramedics.

Ambulance Crew Involved In M1 Crash
An ambulance crew has been involved in a crash in Belfast as they were attempting to resuscitate a young baby on the M1 motorway. The crew had been flagged down on Kennedy Way to help an infant who had stopped breathing, when a lorry collided with the ambulance at 11am today. The lorry was approaching the Broadway roundabout.
