Call For Performers For Banbridge Buskfest 2025

Musicians and performers are being urged to sign up for Buskfest 2025, which is set to return to Banbridge on Saturday, 14 June 2025.

The popular annual event offers buskers of all ages and musical styles the chance to showcase their talents, compete for a total prize fund of £3,500, and win other prizes.

The free event welcomes both performers and visitors, promising a lively and family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of Banbridge.

BBC Radio Ulster's Ralph McLean, a judge for the event, said: "Buskfest is one of my favourite musical days of the year and in my opinion, the biggest and best celebration of busking around. What makes it so special is the platform it gives performers of all kinds to step out, be heard, and connect with an audience. Every year, I'm blown away by the range and quality of talent on show. Whether you're a solo singer, a band, or something in between, there's a space for you here. Judging is never easy, but it's always inspiring and I can't wait to see Banbridge come alive once again with music on every corner."

On the day of the festival, participating buskers are required to check in at the Old Town Hall between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to secure their performance pitch. The streets of Banbridge will be filled with live music from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and an evening concert in the town centre from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The evening concert will feature a line-up of local artists, including last year's overall winner, Banshee, alongside The Reilly's and headliners The Nooks.

In addition to the chance to win prize money, buskers will be part of a celebration of music, community spirit, and creativity. The event will also offer free family-friendly activities during the afternoon, ensuring entertainment for all ages.

Organisers are encouraging anyone interested in performing to register online at buskfest.com to be part of this year's event.
