Appeal For Information Following Sexual Assault In Belfast City Centre

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a sexual assault was reported in Belfast City Centre over the weekend.

Detective Inspector Bell stated that police received a report that a woman was sexually assaulted in the Pottingers Entry area between 2am and 3am on Friday, May 23rd.

Following the incident, the suspect and another male are believed to have fled in the direction of Dublin Road. An investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have any information that could assist their inquiry, to come forward.

Three Men Arrested Over 'Serious Sexual Assault' In Newtownards
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of rape after a serious sexual assault in Newtownards over the weekend. A young woman reported being assaulted by a number of men near Londonderry Park on the Portaferry Road in the early hours of Sunday morning, 15 September. The incident was reported at around 6.25am.
