County Antrim man remanded on murder charge
A 34-year-old County Antrim man who appeared in Ballymena Magistrate's Court court today has been remanded in custody on a murder charge.
Police said that the man, Dale Francis Kelly, 34, of The Roddens in Larne, had pleaded "not guilty" when the charge was put to him.
He is accused of the murder of 35-year-old Peter Gamble whose body was discovered at a house in The Roddens area, near Larne town centre, shortly before 6am on Tuesday.
The court heard that there had been an earlier altercation between the deceased and the accused, and that Mr Gamble had later died.
The accused was remanded in custody to reappear on August 17.

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Co Down. The 54-year-old victim was stabbed in the Manor Court area in Moira on Monday. He is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital. The woman is to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
