Paramilitary-style shooting in North Down
A man has been injured following a paramilitary-style attack in North Down last night.
The victim was out walking his dog in the Craigboy area of Bangor at around 10pm on Tuesday when a number of masked men attacked him, pushed him face down into a grassy area and shot him once in the leg. It is understood that an attempt to shoot the victim in the other leg failed.
Police in Bangor are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 028 9145 4444 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
