Man stabbed in north Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in north Belfast at the weekend.
The 18-year-old victim was walking along Floral Park in the Whitewell Road area at about midnight on Sunday when a carload of men pulled up beside him.
One of the men got out of the car and proceeded to attack the teenager before getting back in the vehicle which sped off in the Shore Road direction.
The car was later found burnt out at the Loughside Recreation Centre adjacent to the loyalist Mount Vernon estate.
The victim is currently being treated in hospital for what doctors describe as "serious" wounds.
Elsewhere, a teenage boy has been left hospitalised after being beaten on the outskirts of east Belfast on Sunday.
The incident occurred at the junction of Drumadoon Drive and Craignish Crescent in the Ballybeen estate in Dundonald.
The 15-year-old boy was with two girls and another boy when he was approached by a gang of four youths who got out of a red car.
The teenager was punched and kicked during the assault. He was later treated in hospital for bruising and cuts to his face.
