Council supports community with new baby health clinic
A thriving inner city community is to avail of a special service designed to meet the health needs of its youngest citizens.
Belfast City Council community development workers in Donegall Pass have teamed up with Inner City South Belfast Sure Start and the South and East Health and Social Services Trust to provide a specialist monthly parent and child clinic.
Based at Donegall Pass Community Centre, the new clinic is the first of its kind in the area and offers support and advice to parents of children up to the age of three years. The clinic initially will run on the last Wednesday of every month, with a health visitor and a Sure Start key worker in attendance.
The first clinic takes place this afternoon between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
