Man charged with attempted murder
A man has been charged with three counts of attempted murder following a shooting incident in Co Down.
The 47-year-old appeared before Armagh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday in connection with an attack on a house in Stream Park, Kilkeel.
The incident saw two shotgun blasts fired at the house, smash through the living room window, at about 2.30am on Monday.
A one-month-old baby had just been fed in the same room before being taken to the back of the house by the parents when the incident occurred.
No one was injured in the attack.

The popular festival of hot Americana, ChilliFest, has announced it will be back in Custom House Square, Belfast for 2011. Taking place under a (hopefully) blazing June sun from 25 June - 26 June, the festival is part of the annual Open House Festival in the city Belfast.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.

Appeal Issued After Man Trapped Under Bus In Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was struck by a bus in Belfast city centre on Saturday, 23 September. The incident happened at Custom House Square at around 11.30am. Emergency services attended the scene and heavy lifting equipment was used to free the man who was trapped under the bus.
