Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with three counts of attempted murder following a shooting incident in Co Down.

The 47-year-old appeared before Armagh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday in connection with an attack on a house in Stream Park, Kilkeel.

The incident saw two shotgun blasts fired at the house, smash through the living room window, at about 2.30am on Monday.

A one-month-old baby had just been fed in the same room before being taken to the back of the house by the parents when the incident occurred.

No one was injured in the attack.
