Wheelchair stolen from outside Co Armagh house
Police are appealing for information after a wheelchair worth an estimated £4,500 was stolen from outside a house in Co Armagh.
The Trekka electric wheelchair was stolen from outside the house in Rosmoyle, Moyraverty, Craigavon between 7.30pm on Sunday and 12.30am on Monday.
Craigavon DCU Commander Chief Superintendent Drew Harris said: ”This represents a real low in criminal behaviour in this area; taking away a persons wheelchair is robbing them of their mobility.
“The thieves’ monumental disregard of another persons dignity and well - being is a staggering indictment of their abject ignorance and lack of respect for the community. I appeal to the community for help to get the wheelchair back to its owner and bring those responsible before a court so they can be judged,” he said.
Police in Craigavon want to hear from anyone who may be offered the wheelchair for sale.
They can be contacted on 028 9065 0222 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
