Police launch investigation into student death
Police have launched an investigation into the death of a student who fell and hit his head during an incident at a bus stop in Co Antrim.
Christopher Curran, 20, died in hospital on Sunday following an argument with youths in Crumlin at around 10.20pm on Saturday.
It is believed Mr Curran and his brother were returning from an event at their local football club when the incident took place.
A 16-year-old youth was arrested following the incident in Main Street, and later released by the police.
Local SDLP assembly member Thomas Burns described the death as a “tragedy for the family and the village”.
Police have ruled out any sectarian motive in relation to the death and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Roads death toll rises after Co Antrim crash
A man has died following a serious road accident on the Glenavy Road in Co Antrim. The accident involved a car and lorry on Wednesday afternoon. Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
