Home of elderly couple robbed in north Belfast
Detectives in north Belfast are appealing for information after the home of an elderly couple was robbed early this morning.
An intuder is believed to have entered through the rear of the house on the Deerpark Road at around 1.30am on Wednesday.
The couple remained asleep during the incident as the assailant ransacked the living room before making off with a quantity of gold rings and a sum of money.
Elsewhere, police are appealing for information following two separate attacks on elderly people on Tuesday night.
In west Belfast, an 88-year-old woman suffered bruising to her wrists after a youth forced his way into her home at Gransha Gardens at around 7pm.
The man ransacked her home before fleeing empty handed.
Meanwhile, an 83-year-old man was thrown to the floor during a robbery at his home in Co Down.
A man claiming to be from the Water Service conned his way into the elderly man's home at Dunbarton Street, Gilford, at about 3pm on Tuesday.
He then pretended to test the taps before a further two individuals arrived an promptly threatened the pensioner before throwing him to the floor and ransacking the house. All three individuals then escaped with a sum of money.

Armed Men Ransack South Belfast Home
Three men, two armed with a crowbar and a screwdriver, have ransacked a house in south Belfast. A 26-year-old man was in the property in Melrose Street at around 11am on Saturday at the time. The intruders ordered the resident to place a pillow over his face and they ransacked the property. The men left with a laptop.

Home Ransacked As Elderly Victim Sleeps
A vulnerable 94 year-old lady lost a significant sum of cash when her Co Down home was ransacked while she slept. Burglars targeted the house in Avoca Lawns, Warrenpoint at sometime between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesday evening, 30 October. The elderly victim was resting in bed at the time.

Police Search For Five Men Who Ransacked Home Of Elderly Couple
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a burglary at the home of an elderly couple in Coleraine on Wednesday, 29 August. At about 9.15pm five masked men forced their way into a house on Camus Lane. The male occupant of the house, aged in his 70s, was restrained and searched while the men ransacked the house.

Investigation Launched Following Burglary In North Belfast
Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a property in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Lisdarragh Park area on Monday afternoon, 24 October. The suspects disturbed the elderly home owner who was in the property at the time. They made off and no items are believed to have been stolen.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.
